ITS ALIIIIVE!!!

From humble beginnings…

Some of you scurvy old seadogs out there may remember my old website “The Epic Lounge” (and if you don’t, don’t worry: It was many moons ago, when we were young and didn’t suffer from the faulty memory that seems to be the trademark of age). Some four or five years ago I decided to shut down the host as I didn’t really use the domain for anything else, and was paying too much to maintain it. But over the years I’ve had a bunch of requests to reanimate it, and always wanted to do so when I found the time. And now the time seems to have been found.

So, what’s this all about?

Well, this blog is dedicated to my long time hobby of painting 6mm wargames miniatures. You will mostly see miniatures from Games Workshop’s “Epic” range but stuff from other manufacturers will also be featured. Also I very much enjoy doing scratch builds and conversions, and I hope the diversity of stuff will inspire one or two readers.

Who am I?

Most people in the wargaming community will know me by my screen name Warmaster Nice, which I’ve been sporting for the better part of a decade. I started playing Epic back in the early 90’ies and before that I was building airfix kits and enjoyed watching my uncle’s model trains. in short: I’ve always been fascinated by small scale stuff, and found it very meditative to craft these miniatures in my spare time. Back when the original Epic Lounge was running I was the editor of the “Incoming” E-zine and have since worked as a miniature designer and studio painter for Steel Crown Productions’ “Exodus Wars” miniatures. Also when time has allowed, I have been working as a layouter for the rather massive “NetEpic Gold” project (available from http://www.netepic.org), which is now being finalized.

Well, that’s it for now, but stay tuned as I will begin uploading pictures very soon.
